Invisible de la rue, cet édifice très simple est de plan rectangulaire, en moellons enduits, recouvert dune toiture à longs pans et croupes en ardoises. La porte dentrée principale est marquée par un encadrement mouluré et surmontée dun fronton triangulaire portant une inscription hébraïque. A lintérieur, le vestibule est occupé par une fontaine rituelle en pierre à décor de coquille, la salle de prière investissant tout le reste du volume intérieur. Contre le mur oriental, trône une arche sainte en bois peint de style classique. Lintérêt de cette synagogue réside dans sa rareté typologique. Bien que remaniée dans les années 1892-1894, elle a conservé lessentiel de ses dispositions dorigine.

History
Invisible from the street, this very simple building is rectangular in plan, built of rubble stone render, covered with a roof of long slopes and hips in slate. The main entrance door is marked by a moulded surround and surmounted by a triangular pediment bearing a Hebrew inscription. Inside, the vestibule is occupied by a ritual fountain in stone with shell decoration, the prayer hall occupying all the rest of the interior volume. Against the eastern wall stands a holy ark in painted wood of classical style. The interest of this synagogue resides in its typological rarity. Although altered in the years 1892-1894, it has retained the essential features of its original arrangement.
