Historique
Créée au 10e siècle et occupée par des chanoines réguliers de l'ordre de Saint-Augustin à partir du 12e siècle, l'abbaye a connu un nouveau souffle au 18e siècle. En 1728, les chanoines ont lancé un vaste projet de reconstruction tandis que l'abbé entreprenait l'édification d'un hôtel particulier. L'hôtel comprend un sous-sol, un rez-de-chaussée surélevé, un étage carré et un comble. Les parties latérales, ajoutées à la fin du 18e siècle, s'articulent maladroitement avec l'édifice primitif. Les distributions du rez-de-chaussée ont été préservées. Décor intérieur raffiné (lambris, sculpture, gypserie). Les caves ont conservé un certain nombre de dispositifs des cuisines qu'elles abritaient (cheminées, vivier, potager, pierres à eau, évier, four à pain).

History
Founded in the 10th century and occupied by regular canons of the order of Saint-Augustine from the 12th century onwards, the abbey experienced a new phase of development in the 18th century. In 1728, the canons launched a vast reconstruction project whilst the abbot undertook the construction of a townhouse. The townhouse comprises a basement, a raised ground floor, a first floor and a roof space. The lateral sections, added at the end of the 18th century, connect awkwardly with the original building. The ground floor layout has been preserved. Refined interior decoration (wainscoting, sculpture, plasterwork). The cellars have retained a number of devices from the kitchens they once housed (fireplaces, fishpond, vegetable garden, water troughs, sink, bread oven).
