Historique
Fondé vers 1094, le prieuré de Saint-Nicolas dépendait de l'abbaye Saint-Léon de Toul. Relevé en 1537 par Jean Forget, il se compose de deux bâtiments : le logis (1541) , et la chapelle de la même époque. Dans la chapelle, présence en soubassement de peintures murales du 19e siècle, et dans les tympans des arcs figure une oeuvre de 1946 exécutée par un prisonnier allemand, Spychalski. Dans le logis, l'escalier est le seul vestige apparent des dispositions du 16e siècle (cage de plan carré intégrant un escalier en vis au noyau central constitué d'une colonne sur haut socle).

History
Founded around 1094, the priory of Saint-Nicolas depended on the abbey of Saint-Léon de Toul. Restored in 1537 by Jean Forget, it consists of two buildings: the main dwelling (1541), and the chapel of the same period. In the chapel, presence at basement level of wall paintings from the 19th century, and in the spandrels of the arches appears a work of 1946 executed by a German prisoner, Spychalski. In the main dwelling, the staircase is the only apparent vestige of the 16th-century arrangements (square-plan cage incorporating a spiral staircase in the central newel formed by a column on a high plinth).
