History
A lord of Ménil-Barré is cited as early as 1249, but the two towers which form the main part of the remains possess stylistic characteristics allowing them to be dated to the second half of the 14th century. Each level of the tower is occupied by a single circular room, those on the third and fourth levels still possessing fireplaces, latrines and window seats of the 14th century.
