Historique
La nouvelle église, édifiée de 1851 à 1855 par l'architecte Delaveuve, remplace un édifice plus ancien. L'édifice en pierre, de style néo-gothique, se compose d'une abside à trois pans, de sept travées avec une nef et deux bas-côtés. Voûtes d'arêtes en plâtre. Le décor architectural reproduit celui des édifices de la fin du 13e siècle, avec un ensemble de peintures murales retraçant la vie de Saint-Vinebaud, présentés comme les enluminures d'un manuscrit. La travée du choeur illustre le sacrifice d'Isaac au sud, celui de Caïn et Abel au nord. Les deux chapelles sont décorées de médaillons illustrant au sud les scènes de la Passion, et au nord les mystères du Rosaire. L'auteur en serait Jourdheil, dit Télémaque, peintre originaire de Varennes.

History
The new church, erected from 1851 to 1855 by the architect Delaveuve, replaces an older building. The stone building, of neo-Gothic style, consists of a three-sided chevet, seven bays with a nave and two aisles. Plaster barrel vaults. The architectural decoration reproduces that of buildings of the late 13th century, with a set of murals retracing the life of Saint-Vinebaud, presented as the illuminations of a manuscript. The bay of the choir illustrates the sacrifice of Isaac to the south, that of Cain and Abel to the north. The two chapels are decorated with medallions illustrating to the south scenes of the Passion, and to the north the mysteries of the Rosary. The author is said to be Jourdheil, known as Télémaque, a painter from Varennes.
