Historique
Château édifié entre 1806 et 1812 par Jean-Baptiste Barbat, maire de la commune. Le bâtiment, qui remplace un château plus ancien, s'inspire des maisons édifiées dans le style palladien par les architectes parisiens à la fin du 18e siècle. History
Castle built between 1806 and 1812 by Jean-Baptiste Barbat, mayor of the commune. The building, which replaces an older castle, is inspired by houses built in the Palladian style by Parisian architects at the end of the 18th century. A modification was made in the first half of the 20th century to the rear façade which originally had the same arrangement as the entrance façade. The décor and interior layout are partly preserved. The ground floor is reserved for utility rooms (kitchen, dairy, cellar, wood store). The first floor comprises the principal rooms (grand salon, dining room, library). In 1837, construction of a small funeral chapel in neo-Gothic style.
