Le château actuel est acquis en 1907 par le père de Christian Dior puis vendu à la ville de Saint-Ouen, en 1933, afin d'y installer une "colonie scolaire", directement inspirée de l'architecture industrielle. History
The present château was acquired in 1907 by Christian Dior's father and then sold to the town of Saint-Ouen in 1933 in order to establish a "school colony", directly inspired by industrial architecture. It was opened in 1934. At that time, the complex comprised the original château, the school colony building proper as well as a large infirmary called "la Sapinière". The buildings are constructed of reinforced concrete, granite and two-coloured brick and are covered with flat roofs.
