Historique
Avec la Restauration et le retour des Bourbons, le gouvernement substitua au projet napoléonien du pont de la Concorde un nouveau programme représentant douze gloires militaires et civiles de l'Ancien régime. Les statues furent installées en 1828. Dès 1832, Louis-Philippe demanda leur enlèvement et les oeuvres furent déposées dans une cour du château de Versailles. En 1931, l'administration prit la décision de déposer les statues dans les communes ayant un lien avec les personnages représentés. Le maréchal de Tourville est destiné à Tourville-sur-Sienne qui avait abrité le fief et le manoir de la famille. Tourville, coiffé d'un chapeau empanaché tient une épée et le bâton de commandement. La statue a été exécutée en 1816 par le sculpteur Joseph-Charles Marin. Exécutée dans le marbre de Carrare, elle mesure 4, 26m et est l'un des chefs-d'oeuvres du néo-classicisme préromantique.

History
With the Restoration and the return of the Bourbons, the government substituted for the Napoleonic project of the Pont de la Concorde a new programme representing twelve military and civil glories of the Ancien régime. The statues were installed in 1828. From 1832, Louis-Philippe requested their removal and the works were placed in a courtyard of the château of Versailles.
