Historique
Le manoir de Vesly est une construction monumentale du début du 16e siècle, entourée d'une ferme encore en exploitation. Le corps de logis rectangulaire est flanqué de deux tours d'angle dont l'une abrite le colombier en activité et l'autre l'ancienne chapelle. La construction, bien que massive, est très fantaisiste, avec des travées et des niveaux divers, mais l'ensemble est harmonieux, extrêmement soigné avec des détails décoratifs originaux. L'intérieur a conservé ses dispositions ainsi que l'ensemble des cheminées, des portes sculptées avec leurs accolades et leurs écus, des plafonds, les caves, les sols en terre battue dans les tours. On a là un véritable conservatoire de formes et la vision de ce que pouvait être la vie dans cette ferme sous l'Ancien Régime et jusqu'à la dernière guerre, lorsqu'une vingtaine d'ouvriers agricoles y vivaient en parfaite symbiose avec les maîtres.

History
The manor of Vesly is a monumental construction of the early 16th century, surrounded by a farm still in operation. The rectangular main dwelling is flanked by two corner towers, one of which houses the working dovecote and the other the former chapel. The construction, though massive, is highly fanciful, with various bays and levels, but the whole is harmonious, extremely careful with original decorative details. The interior has retained its layout as well as the ensemble of fireplaces, sculptured doors with their brackets and escutcheons, ceilings, cellars, tamped earth floors in the towers. Here we have a true conservatory of forms and a vision of what life could be in this farm under the Ancien Régime and up to the last war, when some twenty agricultural workers lived there in perfect symbiosis with the masters.
