Ce monument, de construction romaine, a peut-être été érigé comme monument funéraire et trophée de la victoire de Sabinus, un des lieutenants de César. Il est creux, mais des restes de moulures à l'extérieur semblent indiquer qu'il existait autrefois un escalier. La base, construite en pierres calcaires et en grès du pays, dans le genre opus reticulatum, est surmontée d'une colonne ornée de sept pilastres d'ordre corinthien.

History
This monument, of Roman construction, may perhaps have been erected as a funerary monument and trophy of the victory of Sabinus, one of Caesar's lieutenants. It is hollow, but remains of mouldings on the exterior seem to indicate that there formerly existed a staircase. The base, constructed in limestone and sandstone of the country, in the manner of opus reticulatum, is surmounted by a column decorated with seven pilasters of Corinthian order.
