Eglise relevant de l'abbaye du Ronceray d'Angers par donation du comte d'Anjou dès le 11e siècle. L'église romane et les bâtiments de l'abbaye sont rasés autour de 1840 pour permettre la reconstruction d'une grande église néoclassique, puis à nouveau en 1880 en style éclectique par Auguste Beignet. L'inachèvement du projet de Beignet épargne l'ancien clocher-tour du 16e siècle.

History
Church depending on the abbey of Ronceray d'Angers by donation of the count of Anjou from the 11th century. The Romanesque church and the abbey buildings are razed around 1840 to allow the reconstruction of a large neoclassical church, then again in 1880 in eclectic style by Auguste Beignet. The incompleteness of Beignet's project spares the old 16th-century bell-tower.
