Le chevalement maçonné du puits de l'ancienne mine de charbon de la Tranchée est le plus puissant (32, 29 mètres de haut) des treize chevalements de pierre subsistant en France. History
The masonry headframe of the shaft of the former coal mine of la Tranchée is the most powerful (32.29 metres high) of the thirteen surviving stone headframes in France. Erected in 1874-1875, it supplied the battery of seven neighbouring kilns which fired the local lime stone before shipment.
