Historique
L'Eglise réformée, officiellement reconstituée après l'édit de Tolérance de 1787, et bénéficiant de la liberté de culte dès 1790, a, dans le cadre du régime concordataire, construit de nombreux temples afin de remplacer ceux qui avaient été détruits sous le règne de Louis XIV. Cet édifice présente un style néo-classique qui s'accorde bien avec le goût de l'église réformée et possède un plan octogonal unique en Lozère. Ce type de plan s'adapte ici à une liturgie essentiellement consacrée à la lecture de la parole divine. La chaire du prédicateur en est l'élément central vers lequel les tribunes de bois convergent. Le temple est terminé en 1842 pour son gros oeuvre.

History
The Reformed Church, officially reconstituted after the Edict of Toleration of 1787, and benefiting from freedom of worship from 1790, within the framework of the concordatory system, built numerous temples in order to replace those which had been destroyed under the reign of Louis XIV. This building presents a neo-classical style which accords well with the taste of the Reformed church and possesses a unique octagonal plan in Lozère. This type of plan adapts here to a liturgy essentially devoted to the reading of the divine word. The preacher's pulpit is the central element towards which the wooden galleries converge. The temple is completed in 1842 for its shell work.
