Eglise liée à l'histoire du prieuré fontevriste de Fongrave attenant auquel elle servit d'église prieurale. Prieuré pris d'assaut en 1586 par les protestants qui détruisirent l'église prieurale : les religieuses occupèrent une partie de l'église paroissiale (où elles firent élever un retable au 17e siècle dans le style espagnol). Prieuré vendu comme bien national. Eglise remaniée au 19e siècle (clocher).

History
Church linked to the history of the Fontevriste priory of Fongrave adjoining it, which it served as priory church. Priory stormed in 1586 by Protestants who destroyed the priory church: the nuns occupied part of the parish church (where they had a retable erected in the 17th century in the Spanish style). Priory sold as national property. Church remodelled in the 19th century (bell tower).
