Historique
Peut-être mentionnée dans les dépendances de Conques au 10e siècle, l'église se retrouve dans celles du prieuré limousin de Notre-Dame du Chalard du 12e au 18e siècle. L'édifice se compose d'une nef charpentée et d'une abside à chevet plat. La voûte de l'abside est portée par des ogives de section carrée, retombant sur des culots ornés de masques, datés de la fin du 12e ou du début du 13e siècle. History
Perhaps mentioned in the dependencies of Conques in the 10th century, the church is found in those of the Limousin priory of Notre-Dame du Chalard from the 12th to the 18th century. The edifice comprises a timber-framed nave and an apse with a flat chevet. The vault of the apse is carried by ribs of square section, resting on corbels adorned with masks, dated to the end of the 12th or beginning of the 13th century. It is entirely painted with a representation of Ezekiel's vision (Christ in Majesty framed by the Tetramorph), accompanied by two hagiographical scenes (martyrdom of Saint-Namphaise; rapture of Mary Magdalen). This decoration is dated around 1500.
