Détruit lors de la Seconde guerre mondiale, l'hôpital de Gien est un projet soutenu par le Docteur Dézarnaulds, maire de la ville de 1946 à 1959. Le projet se concrétise en 1949 et le nouvel hôpital ouvre ses portes en 1955. André Laborie (1899-1979), architecte de la reconstruction de Gien, conçoit l'hôpital et la chapelle. La décoration est exécutée par le peintre André Trébuchet.

History
Destroyed during the Second World War, the Gien hospital is a project supported by Doctor Dézarnaulds, mayor of the town from 1946 to 1959. The project came to fruition in 1949 and the new hospital opened its doors in 1955. André Laborie (1899-1979), architect of the reconstruction of Gien, designed the hospital and the chapel. The decoration was executed by painter André Trébuchet.
