Historique
Cette balise est le plus ancien ouvrage de signalisation maritime dans l'estuaire de la Loire en remontant vers Nantes. Construite en 1777 selon les plans de l'ingénieur Groleau, elle fut exhaussée en 1893 pour recevoir un feu. History
This beacon is the oldest maritime signalling structure in the estuary of the Loire going up towards Nantes. Built in 1777 according to the plans of engineer Groleau, it was raised in 1893 to receive a light. It is a building of truncated conical form in ashlar stone, narrowed in its upper raised section, painted green and bearing the inscription 'MOREES' in white.
