Il s'agit d'un ensemble architectural et urbain constitué par l'église Sainte-Thérèse, construite entre 1933 et 1961 selon les plans de l'architecte nantais René Ménard, achevée par son collaborateur Maurice Ferré et avec la collaboration du sculpteur Jean-Fréour et du maître-verrier Gabriel Loire. Le presbytère fut également bâti par René Ménard entre 1940 et 1947.
