Historique
Abbaye fondée par l'abbaye cistercienne de Mazan à la fin du 12e siècle. Eglise à nef unique et chevet plat. Pendant les guerres de Religion, les bâtiments furent pillés et incendiés en 1573. Au cours de la restauration de l'édifice, la voûte d'arête du choeur fut refaite, et la porte sud percée. En 1764, les religieuses quittèrent les lieux et les bâtiments monastiques furent en grande partie démolis après la Révolution. En 1845, réfection de la toiture de la nef, remplacement de son voûtement intérieur par un plafond en lattis. Reconstruction du clocher en 1880. Le décor peint représente principalement un trompe-l'oeil en grisaille de la fin du 17e ou du début du 18e siècle. Des sondages ont révélé l'existence d'un décor peint plus ancien.

History
Abbey founded by the Cistercian abbey of Mazan at the end of the 12th century. Church with a single nave and flat chevet. During the Wars of Religion, the buildings were plundered and burned in 1573. In the course of restoration of the building, the groin vault of the choir was remade, and the south door pierced. In 1764, the nuns left the premises and the monastic buildings were largely demolished after the Revolution. In 1845, refection of the roof of the nave, replacement of its interior vaulting by a lattis ceiling. Reconstruction of the bell tower in 1880. The painted décor represents principally a grisaille trompe-l'oeil of the late 17th or early 18th century. Probing revealed the existence of older painted décor.
