Le bâtiment se compose d'une partie d'habitation et d'une partie atelier sur trois niveaux (deux pour les machines et un pour le dortoir des ouvrières). Entre les deux bâtiments se trouve la déviation de la rivière avec la roue qui entraînait les machines. Ce moulin est le premier a avoir été équipé d'une turbine, dont il reste les courroies de transmission, le mécanisme et les machines. Le moulin est semi enterré pour permettre de conserver l'humidité et une température constante.

History
This building bears witness to the intense silk mill activity in the Forez, from the 19th to the early 20th century. The building comprises a residential section and a workshop section on three levels (two for the machinery and one for the workers' dormitory). Between the two buildings is the diversion of the river with the wheel that drove the machinery. This mill was the first to be equipped with a turbine, of which the transmission belts, mechanism and machinery remain. The mill is semi-buried to allow it to maintain humidity and constant temperature.
