Historique

History
In 1893, Henri Schneider purchased the estate to dedicate it to hunting. The architect Paul-Ernest Sanson was engaged to define a new château. The project adopted in 1898 presents an L-shaped building using old foundations and whose central node of the plan is formed by an entrance hall with monumental staircase. The staircase and hall distribute the guest zone and the hunting room on the right; the private apartments on the left. Behind the vestibule are three communal rooms: library, salon, dining room. The construction of the château extends from 1900 to 1905. The château and its stables belong to the second wave of castle constructions which came into being from 1890 onwards, in the centre and south-east of Sologne.
