Historique
Prieuré dépendant de l'abbaye de Thiron, mentionné dès 1119. En 1517, le prieuré passe en commende. En 1715, il est réuni au collège des Jésuites de Blois. En 1793, il est vendu comme bien national et devient maison de famille. Des bâtiments de communs et de logements s'ordonnent de part et d'autre d'une cour rectangulaire. Le logis du prieur est implanté en fond de cour. La chapelle est contiguë aux communs. Un colombier du 17e siècle complète l'ensemble. La chapelle rectangulaire se compose d'une nef charpentée à vaisseau unique, prolongé d'une travée droite de choeur et terminée par une abside semi-circulaire, le tout voûté en cul de four. Un décor historié présente des scènes figuratives, des bandes ornementales et un décor couvrant. Les scènes figurées évoquent un cycle marial. Cet ensemble peint remonte à la fin du 13e siècle.

History
Priory dependent on the abbey of Thiron, mentioned from 1119 onwards. In 1517, the priory passed into commendum. In 1715, it was united with the Jesuit college of Blois. In 1793, it was sold as national property and became a family house. Buildings of outhouses and dwellings are arranged on either side of a rectangular courtyard. The prior's dwelling is situated at the far end of the courtyard. The chapel is adjacent to the outhouses. A 17th-century dovecote completes the ensemble. The rectangular chapel comprises a nave with timber roof of a single vessel, extended by a straight bay of choir and terminated by a semi-circular apse, all vaulted with a cul-de-four vault. A decorated scheme presents figurative scenes, ornamental bands and all-over decoration. The figured scenes evoke a Marian cycle. This painted ensemble dates from the end of the 13th century.
