La bastide d'Hastingues, située aux limites du pays basque, remonte au 13ème siècle et s'élève sur un éperon surplombant la vallée. La maison dite des Jurats se dresse sur le côté sud-ouest de la place. De plan rectangulaire, elle est, à ce jour, divisée en deux parties dont l'une menace ruine. Des traces d'arcades murées sont visibles sur la façade sur la place. Les fenêtres à meneaux des parties hautes ainsi que la tourelle d'escalier témoignent d'une construction par étapes aux 15ème et 16ème siècles.

History
The bastide of Hastingues, situated at the limits of the Basque country, dates back to the 13th century and stands on a spur overlooking the valley. The house known as the Jurats stands on the south-west side of the square. Rectangular in plan, it is, to this day, divided into two parts, one of which threatens ruin. Traces of walled arcades are visible on the façade overlooking the square. The mullioned windows of the upper parts as well as the small stair tower testify to construction by stages in the 15th and 16th centuries.
