Maison forte fondée en 1343, avec l'autorisation d'Alinéor de Comminges, comtesse de Béarn et Marsan. Située sur une motte castrale entourée d'un fossé, cette petite salle, essentiellement bâtie en briques, contrôlait le cours du Midou. L'édifice fut réaménagé au 16e siècle, comme en témoignent une tour d'escalier, des fenêtres et des cheminées. Au 17e siècle, une aile de commun en retour d'équerre fut ajoutée côté sud. Fin 19e ou début 20e siècle, le bâtiment a perdu au moins un étage. A proximité du château s'élève une bergerie du 18e siècle qui constitue un bel exemple de construction rurale.

History
Fortified house founded in 1343, with the authorization of Alinéor de Comminges, countess of Béarn and Marsan. Situated on a motte castrale surrounded by a moat, this small hall, essentially built in brick, controlled the course of the Midou. The building was remodelled in the 16th century, as evidenced by a stair tower, windows and chimneys. In the 17th century, a wing of outbuildings in a right-angled return was added on the south side. Late 19th or early 20th century, the building lost at least one storey. In the vicinity of the castle stands a sheepfold of the 18th century which constitutes a fine example of rural construction.
