L'église paroissiale Saint-Georges de Chilly-le-Vignoble est attestée en 1487 à l'entrée du bourg. D'abord chapelle, elle était dédiée à Sainte-Catherine et dépendait de la paroisse de Saint-Georges-des-Champs. Les deux chapelles sud sont de la fin du xve s., la chapelle nord, les 4e et 5e travées de la nef et le chœur sont antérieurs à 1496 (mort d'Anne de Montaigu, veuve de Jean de Gaignières (blasons de la chapelle nord). Les trois premières travées de la nef ont été construites entre 1519 (mariage d'Aimé de Laubespin et d'Anne de Gaignières) et 1524 (mort d'Aimé de Laubespin), date portée sur le blason du portail. Le clocher a été bâti au xviiie s. Une sacristie est également aménagée derrière le chevet plat. Au xixe s., des travaux de restauration portent sur la flèche du clocher. On pénètre dans l'église par un portail gothique. La nef se compose de quatre travées voûtées en cintre brisé et séparées par des doubleaux retombant jusqu'au sol. De même largeur, le choeur est composé de deux travées, plus longues mais voûtées de même. À droite, se situe la chapelle seigneuriale, voûtée sur croisée d'ogives, flanquée d'une autre chapelle en cintre brisé.

Description
The parish church Saint-Georges of Chilly-le-Vignoble is attested in 1487 at the entrance of the town. Initially a chapel, it was dedicated to Sainte-Catherine and depended on the parish of Saint-Georges-des-Champs. The two southern chapels are from the end of the 15th century, the northern chapel, the 4th and 5th bays of the nave and the chevet are prior to 1496 (death of Anne de Montaigu, widow of Jean de Gaignières (coats of arms of the northern chapel).
