History
The present church appears to have been built at the end of the 15th century and beginning of the 16th. In 1780, a porch tower takes the place of the belfry-wall. It encloses the pointed arch portal, decorated with voussure mouldings, and gives access to the nave, vaulted in broken barrel vault. Lighting is limited, being provided by the south lateral chapel and by an opening in the east wall formerly blocked and restored since 2013. Traces of wall paintings are still visible under the whitewash. The old covered passage connecting the sacristy to the convent building situated below, an element added in the 19th century, was demolished.
