La création de la nouvelle paroisse Saint-Jean-l'Evangéliste à Dole donne lieu à un concours national en 1960 pour la construction d'une église et d'un centre paroissial. History
The creation of the new parish of Saint-Jean-l'Evangéliste in Dole gave rise to a national competition in 1960 for the construction of a church and a parish centre. The selected project is due to architect Anton Korady, associated with sculptor Maurice Calka. The church, disposed at one third, stands perpendicular to the rectilinear parish centre building. A plaza extends between this building and the parish house building. The church presents a plan in the form of a kite. A transverse reinforced concrete arch carries two hyperbolic paraboloids in laminated adhesive-bonded timber framing. The decorative grille, executed by Maurice Calka, draws principally on the Apocalypse of Saint-Jean.
