History
Founded on a remarkable natural strategic site, the château was built at the beginning of the 13th century. Among the ruins of the castle site, the best preserved element is the square-plan keep-tower, which still possesses three walls of 2.20 metres thickness over three levels; it is constructed of rough rubble stone of medium ashlar.
