Attested from the 13th century, the mill was rebuilt in 1843 after a fire. It was completed with an electric power station around 1902, then with a sawmill shortly after. The fulling mill, built in the first half of the 19th century, was dismantled before 1920 and converted into a barn and stable. At the same time, the sawmill was enlarged; it ceased operation in 1948 before being transformed into an automobile garage. Louis Taron purchased the whole in 1937. If he ceded around 1942 the electricity sector to the company of the Motive Forces of the Loue, he continued the manufacture of cereal flour until 1962 but continued the manufacture of roasted maize flour. Of neoclassical style, the Taron mill, if it offers a traditional vertical production chain, presents the interest of perpetuating a traditional manufacture, gaudes, and of having retained all of its technical installations (diesel engine, turbines, milling equipment).
