The former priory was founded by Saint Uniac in the 6th century. The overall volume of the church and the choir, as well as part of their walls, appear to date from the early 11th century; the roof structure of the nave dates from the late 14th century, that of the choir, from the 15th century. Subsequently, two seigneurial chapels were added to the north of the nave in the 14th century; the east chapel was partially rebuilt and heightened in the 15th century, and the west chapel was destroyed in the course of the 19th century. Another seigneurial chapel was added to the south in the 15th century. The crossing bell tower, destroyed in 1853, was rebuilt in the façade in 1859 by the architect from Saint-Malo Béziers-Lafosse. The interior decoration is of the 19th century.
