La cale sèche a été construite en 1908 par le constructeur François Lemarchand pour les besoins de son chantier naval. Il s'agit d'un ouvrage en bois de forme ovale, d'une longueur de 45 m. Une vingtaine de poteaux entretoisés sont recouverts du bordage, soigneusement calfaté. L'ouvrage fut en service de 1908 à l'aube de la Deuxième Guerre mondiale.

History
The dry dock was built in 1908 by the shipbuilder François Lemarchand for the needs of his shipyard. It is a timber construction of oval form, of a length of 45 m. Around twenty braced posts are covered with planking, carefully caulked. The structure was in service from 1908 to the dawn of the Second World War.
