Historique

History
From the 13th to the 18th century, all centuries are represented in the architecture and decoration of the château, a former Gascon fortress improved in the Renaissance into a country house. The openings of the old medieval courtyard open onto the 18th-century vestibule. The château occupies the site of an old feudal motte. It is preceded by a building blocking the rocky spur, forming a portico body, from which a vaulted porch gives access to a rectangular courtyard bordered by outbuildings to the south. The château presents a U-shaped plan, whose wings enclose a narrow courtyard, separated from the garden by steps. The north and south wings would be levelled medieval towers. The south wing testifies essentially to the developments carried out in the 18th century, with plasterwork and French-style ceilings. The medieval façade of the central main dwelling saw its façade doubled by a large entrance façade with entrance door crowned by a curvilinear pediment dated 1744.
