History
18th century siphon aqueduct of Garipuy, of original plan and careful execution. Cited by 19th century engineers as a prototype of siphon aqueducts, although its main predecessor was the Joncasse aqueduct. Despite recent rearrangements, the Saint-Agne aqueduct retains evident interest. It is one of the first examples of a siphon aqueduct to which a maintenance operation would ensure readability and longevity.
