Historique

History
The present building replaces a structure still visible on the cadastral survey of 1809. The neo-Romanesque church comprises a central nave and two aisles with semi-circular apses. It comprises five bays and a projecting transept. The portal takes up the motif, much simplified, of that of Saint-Trophime in Arles. Inside, the church has retained its decorative paintings, except for the columns of the nave. The choir is more richly decorated with a coffered motif and the cul-de-four vault is painted blue with feigned ribs to harmonize with the nave. The crossing of the transept is historiated with the representation of the four evangelists. These paintings are the work of Bernard Gentilini, after those in the Dominican church at Sant'Andrea della Valle in Rome.
