Historique
L'ancienne église paroissiale était la chapelle seigneuriale de Marguerittes et elle est mentionnée dans la bulle du pape Adrien IV de 1156. Pendant les Guerres de Religion, la ville est prise par les protestants en 1570 avec démolition des remparts et reprise par les catholiques en 1573. Des réparations importantes se font après cette période troublée de 1603 à 1609 et lui donnent sans doute son aspect architectural actuel. L'église est restaurée au début du 19e siècle. Une tribune est construite en 1811.
Description
C'est un édifice quasiment carré qui intègre à l'ouest un bâtiment avec une baie 15e s. Et deux tours juxtaposées au sud-est, l'une plus ancienne porte des vestiges de corbeaux d'éléments défensifs et celle de la tour du clocher, bien appareillée et homogène, se terminant par une petite voûte. Le pilier nord porte la date 1603 suivie des initiales EI LEZOIVN.

History
The former parish church was the seigneurial chapel of Marguerittes and is mentioned in the bull of Pope Adrian IV of 1156. During the Wars of Religion, the town was taken by protestants in 1570 with demolition of the ramparts and retaken by catholics in 1573. Important repairs were made after this troubled period from 1603 to 1609 and doubtless gave it its present architectural appearance. The church was restored in the early 19th century. A gallery was constructed in 1811.
Description
It is an almost square edifice which incorporates to the west a building with a 15th-century opening. And two juxtaposed towers to the south-east, the older one bears vestiges of corbels of defensive elements and that of the bell tower, well coursed and homogeneous, terminating in a small vault. The north pillar bears the date 1603 followed by the initials EI LEZOIVN.
