La construction du temple, selon les plans de l'architecte Charles Durand, débute en 1811 pour s'achever en 1827. Il s'agit d'un édifice carré avec un porche formant une grande baie semi-circulaire, ouvert par deux colonnes doriques in antis pour l'entrée, et une sorte d'abside semi-circulaire également pour la chaire. Les colonnes doriques se retrouvent sur deux niveaux à l'intérieur pour soutenir les tribunes. En 1847, un clocher est ajouté, modifiant l'aspect triangulaire du mur pignon de la façade.

History
The construction of the temple, according to the plans of architect Charles Durand, begins in 1811 and is completed in 1827. It is a square building with a porch forming a large semi-circular opening, opened by two Doric columns in antis for the entrance, and a sort of semi-circular apse as well for the pulpit. Doric columns are found on two levels inside to support the galleries. In 1847, a bell tower is added, modifying the triangular appearance of the gable of the façade.
