Historique
Cet édifice, probablement ancienne maison de négociant, devenue maison de la ville en 1640, a été construit peu avant cette date. La tour d'escalier hors-oeuvre, sur l'élévation postérieure, devait permettre l'utilisation du rez-de-chaussée à des fins commerciales. History
This building, probably a former merchant's house, became town house in 1640, was constructed shortly before this date. The external staircase tower, on the rear elevation, was to allow the use of the ground floor for commercial purposes. Its street façade, in dressed granite stone, presents two dormers with sculpted bas-reliefs of heads of figures and a door in round arch with pilasters with decorated pendant key. This house is the only one in Saint-Pol-de-Léon to have preserved corner windows. The interest of this house also lies in a fireplace located on the ground floor and adorned with a painted lintel; this represents a bust of a man and a bust of a woman framing a landscape with a chapel, a house, trees and figures.
