La maison Quéré a été construite de 1969 à 1973 sur un projet de Le Flanchec. Elle est un excellent témoin des facultés inventives de l'architecte et de son souci permanent d'adapter l'architecture au milieu local. Le plan de forme circulaire et le profil conique naissent de l'exigence de défendre l'édifice des vents violents qui battent la côte sur laquelle elle se dresse : le profil des parois, avec ses nervures créées par la succession de pilastres incurvés, permet de canaliser les flux d'air. La distribution intérieure reflète le parti extérieur : autour d'une cour ronde centrale, les différentes pièces se succèdent dans une structure en anneau. Le quart de la surface est occupé par le séjour, seule pièce dont la décoration a été achevée par Le Flanchec.

History
The Quéré house was built from 1969 to 1973 on a project by Le Flanchec.
