La construction du château actuel, à un emplacement différent du précédent manoir, est attribuée à Pierre Le Pesant, seigneur de Bois-Guilbert et Pinterville, lieutenant général au bailliage de Rouen, qui a résidé à Pinterville de 1677 à 1690. Il s'agit du corps principal, régulier en plan, avec pavillon central et pavillons transversaux aux extrémités, très homogène dans son architecture de pierre et de brique.

L'édifice a été agrandi à la fin du 18e siècle avec adjonction de galeries, pavillons d'angles et ailes en retour dans lesquelles un appartement était inachevé en 1792. Les travaux du 19e siècle ont profondément altéré l'ordonnance du logis transformé en grand volume pyramidal par construction du pavillon central, surélévation du fronton, modification des pavillons, fermeture des galeries, reprises des percements, création d'oeils de boeuf et lucarnes. La distribution et les aménagements intérieures du logis datent pour certaines parties du 18e s. Mais pour l'essentiel, le décor date de la fin du 19e s. Le parc avec son tracé paysager est à rattacher à cette dernière période.

The construction of the present castle, at a different location from the previous manor, is attributed to Pierre Le Pesant, lord of Bois-Guilbert and Pinterville, lieutenant general to the bailiage of Rouen, who resided at Pinterville from 1677 to 1690. The distribution and interior fittings of the main dwelling date for certain parts from the 18th century. But for the most part, the decoration dates from the end of the 19th century.
