L'église Saint-Pierre de La Selle a une disposition en éléments emboîtés, constituée d'une nef rectangulaire, suivie d'un choeur plus étroit que termine à l'est une sacristie (datée de 1744) elle-même moins large que le choeur. La construction de grès ferrugineux dit grison, silex et pierre calcaire, est pour sa plus grande partie attribuable à la fin du 15e siècle ou au début du siècle suivant. L'intérieur, à volume unique, comprend une charpente lambrissée, aux lambris peints en trompe-l'oeil et datés de 1676 pour celle du choeur, plus ancienne pour celle de la nef, les sablières de cette dernière étant ornées de têtes humaines sculptées. L'état intérieur de l'édifice, notamment celui des lambris, est alarmant. Le mobilier comprend notamment un exceptionnel retable en albâtre du début du 16e siècle. L'église Saint-Pierre fut l'église paroissiale de La Selle jusqu'en 1844, lorsque cette commune fut rattachée à celle de Juignettes.

History
The church of Saint-Pierre de La Selle has a disposition in nested elements, consisting of a rectangular nave, followed by a narrower choir terminated to the east by a sacristy (dated 1744) itself less wide than the choir. The construction of ferruginous sandstone called grison, flint and limestone stone, is for the greater part attributable to the late 15th century or the beginning of the following century. The interior, with a single volume, comprises a wooden-panelled roof structure, with panels painted in trompe-l'oeil and dated 1676 for that of the choir, older for that of the nave, the wall plates of the latter being ornamented with carved human heads. The interior state of the edifice, notably that of the panels, is alarming. The furnishings include in particular an exceptional alabaster reredos of the early 16th century. The church of Saint-Pierre was the parish church of La Selle until 1844, when that commune was joined to that of Juignettes.
