La scierie est le dernier témoignage d'un moulin connu dès le 15e siècle, appartenant au prieuré de Laval. D'abord simple moulin à blé et ribe à chanvre actionnés par une ou plusieurs roues dessus, l'établissement a diversifié son activité sans doute à la fin du 18e siècle avec l'adjonction d'une scierie et de l'huilerie. La scierie fut reconstruite avant 1884 par Emile Girardot, ainsi qu'une habitation vers l'est. En 1912, deux turbines Douge, système Francis, sont installées. Un hangar de séchage prolonge le bâtiment vers 1918. L'entreprise semble alors se spécialiser dans le sciage et le commerce des bois. History
The sawmill is the last testimony to a mill known from the 15th century, belonging to the priory of Laval. Initially a simple grain mill and hemp processing mill operated by one or more overshot wheels, the establishment diversified its activity no doubt at the end of the 18th century with the addition of a sawmill and oil mill. The sawmill was rebuilt before 1884 by Emile Girardot, as well as a dwelling to the east. In 1912, two Douge turbines, Francis system, were installed. A drying shed extends the building around 1918.
