Historique

History
The hotel built in the 16th century incorporated earlier buildings, from the justice building dated to the 13th century to a vaulted house of the 15th century. Ironwork with balusters, the door panels of the grand staircase testify to work prior to 1742. In 1789, the marquis de Rosières called upon Claude Antoine Colombot to bring his hotel up to date. The aim was to modernize its appearance on the street and redecorate the interior, decorations which disappeared in the course of the 20th century. On the rue du Loup remains the fossilized gable of the former Vicomty with its three lancet openings. The elevations on the rue and place Pasteur are at three levels. That on the right retains Louis XVI decoration. Entry to the courtyard is through a round-arch portal inscribed in a bay. The main dwelling with its wings in return forms the back of the triangular courtyard. The south side presents an apartment building and a shed. The apartment building, on the east side of the courtyard, is connected to the north wing of the main dwelling by a portion of glazed rotunda. The north wing contains a cellar with three aisles of six bays, vaulted with ribs, and a roof structure with chevrons forming trusses. The south wing retains painted render on the gable of the Vicomty and a panelled room attributable to Colombot.
