Historique
Cité dès 870, le monastère de Hautepierre fut rattaché à Cluny vers 1120. Reconstruction du monastère au 13e siècle. Au 14e siècle, construction du clocher. Quartier des religieux développé pendant le 16e siècle (cardinal Granvelle). Certains éléments d'architecture des 15e et 16e siècles subsistent. Des bâtiments conventuels ont conservé leur décor lambrissé et leurs trumeaux peints. Au 18e siècle, incendie en 1719, puis reconstruction de l'église (date 1724 sur le portail) et restauration des bâtiments du prieuré. Eglise en grande partie démolie en 1793 : il ne reste que quelques vestiges. Les bâtiments conventuels ont été transformés en habitation.

History
Cited from 870, the monastery of Hautepierre was attached to Cluny around 1120. Reconstruction of the monastery in the 13th century. In the 14th century, construction of the bell tower. Quarter of the religious developed during the 16th century (cardinal Granvelle). Some elements of architecture of the 15th and 16th centuries subsist. Some conventional buildings have preserved their panelled decoration and their painted pier glasses. In the 18th century, fire in 1719, then reconstruction of the church (date 1724 on the portal) and restoration of the buildings of the priory. Church largely demolished in 1793: only a few vestiges remain. The conventional buildings were converted to residential use.
