Historique
Château construit sous l'Empire par Jacques de Maleville, avocat, sénateur et un des rédacteurs du code civil. Les communs et l'orangerie furent construits et le parc aménagé quelques années plus tard par son fils. Vers 1835, le château est surélevé d'un étage et complété de deux pavillons par son petit-fils Lucien, sénateur et peintre de paysages. Le château se compose d'un grand corps de logis rectangulaire, flanqué de deux pavillons latéraux bas. L'ensemble est couvert de toits en ardoise. Des jardins viennent en complément du domaine : élaborés en parallèle de la construction du château, ils comprennent un potager-fruitier et un parc séparés par un jardin de buis. L'orangerie a servi de d'atelier pour le peintre Lucien de Maleville (1881-1964).

History
Château built under the Empire by Jacques de Maleville, lawyer, senator and one of the draftsmen of the civil code. The outbuildings and the orangery were built and the park laid out a few years later by his son. Around 1835, the château is heightened by a storey and completed with two pavilions by his grandson Lucien, senator and landscape painter. The château consists of a large rectangular main dwelling, flanked by two low lateral pavilions. The ensemble is covered with slate roofs. Gardens complement the estate: developed in parallel with the construction of the château, they comprise a kitchen-garden and orchard and a park separated by a boxwood garden. The orangery served as a studio for the painter Lucien de Maleville (1881-1964).
