History
The grotto is part of a vast complex of sites opening in the same line of cliffs. Besides archaeological remains dating back to the Mousterian and Aurignacian, the grotto has yielded animal representations engraved (mammoth, rhinoceros, bear in profile) dating from the Gravettian to the Solutrean.
