Dans un site de grande qualité paysagère dominant la Rance, la Grande Vigne présente l'intéressante combinaison d'une ancienne installation chaufournière du premier tiers du 19e siècle et d'une maison de maître entourée d'un jardin, devenue maison-atelier de l'artiste Yvonne Jean-Haffen (1895-1993) qui fut d'emblée séduite par l'endroit lorsqu'elle le visita pour la première fois en 1936. Lieu de vie et de création plusieurs décennies durant, lieu d'accueil de ses amis et artistes au premier rang desquels figure Mathurin Méheut, dont elle fut l'élève et avec qui elle resta très liée, cette maison et son parc, ainsi que tout le fonds d'atelier, sont légués par l'artiste à la Ville de Dinan en 1987. A la mort d'Yvonne Jean-Haffen, la propriété devient un lieu attaché à l'œuvre et à la mémoire de cette dinannaise de cœur, d'abord Maison d'artiste de la Grande Vigne puis désormais musée Yvonne Jean-Haffen. La maison accueille des visiteurs qui profitent chaque saison d'une exposition temporaire constituée à partir du riche fonds d'atelier ou dialoguant avec lui.

History
In a site of great landscape quality overlooking the Rance, the Grande Vigne presents the interesting combination of an old lime-kiln installation from the first third of the 19th century and a master's house surrounded by a garden, which became the artist's studio-house of Yvonne Jean-Haffen (1895-1993) who was immediately captivated by the place when she visited it for the first time in 1936. A place of life and creation for several decades, a place of welcome for her friends and artists, foremost among whom was Mathurin Méheut, of whom she was a pupil and with whom she remained very close, this house and its park, as well as all the studio contents, were bequeathed by the artist to the City of Dinan in 1987. Following the death of Yvonne Jean-Haffen, the property became a place attached to the work and memory of this woman from Dinan at heart, first the Artist's House of the Grande Vigne and now the Yvonne Jean-Haffen museum. The house welcomes visitors who enjoy each season a temporary exhibition made up of the rich studio collection or in dialogue with it.
