Historique

History
The manor is built on a rocky promontory dominating the estuary of the Rance, suggesting that it is an old barred spur. The site attests to an ancient defensive occupation, preserving a feudal motte at the entrance of the promontory. The main dwelling block, of elongated plan, dates from the second half of the 16th century. The anterior façade presents a polygonal then square staircase tower projecting, as well as Renaissance sculptured ornamentation. In the 18th century, the dwelling is enlarged by two small low wings and internally reorganized. A new chapel is constructed, terraced gardens and a promenade are developed. Several outbuilding structures, some of the 19th century, are preserved, as well as an old dovecot.
