Les vestiges du château fort de La Chèze, édifié au milieu du 12e siècle par Eudon II et remanié par Olivier de Clisson entre 1370 et 1400, puis par Jean II de Rohan, sont constitués de quelques éléments toujours visibles, parmi lesquels un donjon polygonal en partie ruiné, des fragments de courtine, la base de quatre tours circulaires, ainsi qu'un passage souterrain creusé dans le massif. Les anciens fossés ont été transformés en promenade.

The remains of the stronghold château of La Chèze, built in the middle of the 12th century by Eudon II and remodelled by Olivier de Clisson between 1370 and 1400, then by Jean II de Rohan, consist of a few elements still visible, among which a polygonal keep partly ruined, fragments of curtain wall, the base of four circular towers, as well as an underground passage cut into the bedrock. The old ditches have been transformed into a promenade.
