History
The castle, built from the 13th century onwards, belonged to the lords of Courcelles, then to the dukes of Burgundy - who made numerous stays there - and to various families. It was remodelled, particularly in the 15th and 17th centuries. From that period until 1997, it served as an agricultural holding. It is situated apart from the village in a still preserved setting. The buildings, erected on a terrace of circular plan surrounded by moats, are flanked with levelled towers and arranged around a courtyard.
