Entre 1156 et 1161, Mathilde de Bourgogne fait don de la terre de Battaut à l'abbaye cistercienne de Notre-Dame de Tart. La chapelle actuelle, restaurée au 15e siècle, est déjà mentionnée dans un bail de 1342. L'abside est décorée de peintures murales du 15e siècle sur le thème du Jugement dernier. History
Between 1156 and 1161, Mathilde of Burgundy made a gift of the land of Battaut to the Cistercian abbey of Notre-Dame de Tart. The present chapel, restored in the 15th century, is already mentioned in a lease of 1342. The apse is decorated with mural paintings of the 15th century on the theme of the Last Judgment. This would be a naive reinterpretation of the Beaune polyptych.
